Junu loves Papa more than Mamma :) (Smile is from Papa)

Greater the guilt, Bigger the Gift! Read that somewhere in one of the novels I read.

Theory goes like this: Maybe cos' fathers spend less time with kids, so they tend to shower extra love on them. And as mothers spend all time with kids, she tends to grow less tolerant with their tantrums and bursts more often. Understanding the outcome is no rocket science -> kids grow more fondness to Dads early on -till the time they grow up and realities dawn on them w.r.t. traits of their fathers, and "Shakti" (aka Amitabh Bachchan) begins !

Well, well, lets not go very far. Junu confesses time and again that he likes Papa more than Mamma but today when he opened my wallet and saw fotos of only himself and Papa (I'd taken Shalu's snap out for scanning and forgot to put it back, actually), he exclaimed "See Mama, since you always scolded me, so Papa finally stopped keeping your foto with him"!!!

Junu recites Gayatri Mantra

3 months back, it was pretty pleasant for me to listen to him reciting Gayatri Mantra (at age of 3 years and 5 months) which he picked up from a senior class's mam. I am proud of you my laddu.

Is Electricity like Honda 'City' ?

Another one out of combo of Junu's fascination with Cars as well as "Google Search Engine Capability". When Mum was trying to tell him that we should put off the AC while leaving the room so that we save electricity, he instantly said "Electricity kya Honda City jaisi hoti hai?" (Is electri-city something like Honda -City).

Honda City is Junu's first choice to own as an on-road car while BMW continues to be his first choice in model cars.

How shall I eat when my tummy is full?

Just yesterday, Junu allowed Pa the privilege to feed him jamtoasts with latter's hand. And when he decided he's obliged enough, declard "I'm done!" and then added "my tummy is full" This led to another thought "Pa, how will I eat if I now feel hungry as my tummy is already full" with the typical Junu grin and smirk in his eyes that "He's looked inside his body and there's not a cubic mm of space!". All I could teach him was that one can't feel hungry when tummy is full and I'm fearing knowing fully well that Junu will prove me wrong on that piece of info very soon. All he needs is to learn "How to Google". (pls expand image to read).

Junu - The Tiny Car Expert

Tiny in both ways :) He can figure out tiny cars from a distance in a showroom or a friend's place. And then, at such tiny age, can figure out almost all cars on Indian roads (and showroom too, obviously). Go through the excerpts from his sweet 3 years:
Going to have an ice cream with his mama and mausaji, he could tell them from a distance that the car that they were wondering about is nothing but a Toyota Corolla. Junu is often let down in life by being a relative of people who can't tell a Toyota from a distance (the list includes his mom and dad as well, read onto know why).
When Mom's friend came home with a set of car keys, Junu glanced through them and fired his query - "Auntie, Do you have a Honda City or Honda Accord?" Poor Auntie was aghast as the car was nowhere visible from house and so she asked how did he know to which he replied "I don't know that how do I know". Obviously, you cannot ask me now how do I know that 'Sun' is 'Sun'. So please behave like adults when talking to Junu.
About Mom, Junu feels embarrassed to admit in public that she's her Mom. Simple, because she told him one day that she'll not buy a 'Jazz' because she doesn't like Hyundai Santro and all Hyundai cars must be like that !!!
And why Dad? well, there are reasons. Here's one. Sitting in bedroom -with a glass sealed balcony, we heard a "tut tut tut tut" noise outside. To which Junu replied with excitement as usual "Pa, look, HELICOPTER". Papa acted smart and said "Ta, this is a tractor and its voice is a bit different from Helicopter". In next 10 seconds, I lost right to teach him about identifying automobiles by voice !!!
